About the Role

Reporting to the Venue Catering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering premium hospitality across Match Day functions. From planning and resourcing to execution and follow-up, you will ensure every Match Day event in our premium suites, dining spaces, and function areas runs flawlessly.

 

This is a hands-on leadership role where you will manage a large pool of casual staff, coordinate multiple events simultaneously, and maintain the highest standards of presentation, service, and client satisfaction.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist with all aspects of premium hospitality, from planning to delivery.
  • Assist with stock management, reporting, and post-event analysis.
  • Brief teams on menus, service timings, VIP guests, entertainment, and key event details.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams for seamless event delivery.
  • Drive continuous improvement and innovation in service delivery.
  • Maintain compliance with RSA and Food Safety standards.
  • Manage, roster, recruit, and train casual corporate hospitality staff.
  • Oversee service standards across premium suites, dining rooms, media, and player catering.

 

About You

You are an experienced hospitality professional with a proven track record in delivering exceptional corporate events in fast-paced, high-profile venues. You thrive under pressure, managing multiple functions at once while maintaining impeccable attention to detail.

A confident leader, you can inspire and coordinate large casual workforces, ensuring every team member understands the standard of service expected. You’re client-focused, commercially astute, and committed to creating memorable experiences that reflect the O’Brien Group brand.

 

Skills & Experience include:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent events to a premium standard.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Extensive experience in premium hospitality, stadium catering, or large-scale events.
  • Financial awareness, including labour management and cost control.
  • Proficiency with event management systems (Ungerboeck experience desirable).
  • Proven ability to build and maintain positive client and stakeholder relationships.
  • Sound understanding of RSA and Food Safety compliance requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing, rostering, and training large casual teams.
