With the AFL season fast approaching, we are seeking casual Chefs and Cooks to join our dynamic Gabba kitchen team. In this role, you’ll contribute to all aspects of food preparation and service, including:

• Preparing and producing a variety of dishes
• Portioning and distributing food to satellite kitchens
• Supporting different areas of the kitchen based on your skills and expertise

Our catering ranges from everyday food items to high-end, upmarket menus, giving you the chance to showcase your talents. Successful applicants may work as part of the casual food preparation team (day shifts) and/or the event-day kitchen team (predominantly night shifts). There is also the opportunity to work at our other southeast Queensland venues, including Suncorp Stadium and People First Stadium, for additional hours.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

• 2+ years’ experience in commercial kitchens or event catering
• Trade qualifications (for chefs)
• Hands-on experience in busy kitchen environments
• Ability to follow direction and work effectively in a team
• HACCP food safety knowledge
• Capability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
