About the Opportunity

This is an outstanding opportunity for an enthusiastic, hardworking professional to join our Graphics Team at our Head Office location. The Graphic Designer will support the business with a variety of graphic design initiatives across the Group.

A key part of the role will be communicating with our venues and supporting the teams with many different graphic design strategies, projects, and marketing collateral. 

Essential to this will be your ability to prioritise and manage different ongoing tasks and keeping an exceptional standard of quality to our brand.  Internal and external stakeholder collaboration will be a key part of the role working with our highly valued current and prospective partners daily.

You will be working on a range of exciting design activities and project initiatives and be at the forefront of the company’s innovation and growth.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ad hoc design project work as required.
• Adhere to O’Brien Group Australia brand and style guides.
• Design company food and beverage packages aligned to our venues and corporate customers in a timely manner.
• Produce business presentations, including reports, business functions, internal company documents and communication.
• Produce electronic and print material including:

• PDFs and flyers
• Logos
• Menus
• Photo retouching
• Vector illustration
• Company presentations, documents, banners and more

• Produce and manage content for O’Brien Icehouse digital assets including external LED screen, internal screens, and the venue website.
• Strategise logo/brand designs and development.
• Work directly with venues regarding marketing collateral and promotional material.
• Work with external partners in updating our O’Brien Group Australia and associated websites.
• Designing content for social media may be required on an ad hoc basis.
• Ensure that all information is kept confidential, unless otherwise advised.
• Represent the Company in a positive manner demonstrating the values, ethics, and pride at all times.

About You

We are seeking an individual to join our Graphics Team who is;

• Flexible, hardworking and has a positive can-do attitude.
• Outstanding in their organisational skills working with time constraints. 
• Detail orientated and is motivation by sourcing creative solutions to design projects. 
• Strong in their written and verbal communication skills as you will be working with highly important current and prospective external stakeholders. 
• Knowledgeable in Adobe Creative Suite programs InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office 365 suite of products including Word and Excel.

Qualifications and Experience:

• 1+ years’ graphic design experience in either a private company or a division of a large corporation.
• A degree in Graphic Design (or similar) preferred.
• Exposure to business enabling tools such as Microsoft Office 365 Suite.
• Knowledge of and experience with Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong technical skills as presented through a portfolio of design work.
