Cbus Super Stadium is the home of the National Rugby League team, Gold Coast Titans.
The stadium has also hosted Rugby Union, Soccer, Rugby League Test Matches, Rugby League World Cup Matches and the Gold Coast Sevens where Cbus Super Stadium hosted Australia’s leg of the Sevens World Series.
The 27,400 seat stadium also hosted the Rugby Sevens during the Gold Coast 2018 XXI Commonwealth Games which attracted sell out crowds.
Metricon Stadium is home to the Gold Coast Suns, the Australian Football League (AFL) team, with the first official AFL match taking place at the venue in 2011.
While AFL is the major sport in operation at the Gold Coast venue, the 27,500 seat stadium has also hosted an abundance of other sporting events such as cricket, rugby and baseball, as well as major music events including the Big Day Out festival, which attracted over 34,000. Metricon Stadium also hosted the Opening and Closing Ceremonies and all Athletic events during the Gold Coast 2018 XXI Commonwealth Games.
About the Opportunity
Sick of split shifts and continuous night work?
We work straight shifts and nights only on event days, generally once a week.
This is a casual ongoing role (approx. 20 hours per week) and will require you to work a flexible roster including mid week preparation and weekend event work. The role will commence mid -November, prior to the start of the 2018 cricket season and will move into our 2019 AFL and and NRL seasons!
We are looking for highly motivated, creative and passionate qualified Chefs, Pastry Chefs, Commercial Cooks and Pantry hands who have exceptional cooking standards and a "can do" approach to cooking. As part of the kitchen brigade, you will deliver innovative and creative food whilst contributing to a team of professionals providing outstanding guest experiences.
To be considered for these roles you will possess the following:
- The ability to take direction and work in a team but also work autonomously
- An understanding of Food Hygiene standards and HACCP
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast paced kitchen
- A positive, enthusiastic and dedicated attitude
- Be a "team player" and be able to work closely with the entire kitchen team to achieve kitchen harmony and overall event success.
